Welcome from the North Atlantic Regional Director

Greetings Sorors,
       
It is my esteemed honor and pleasure to invite you to the 81st North Atlantic Regional Conference.  For more than 103 years, we have tirelessly championed and effectuated our Founders’ never-ending quest to provide service to all mankind. In the spirit of that legacy, the theme of this conference is “Global Leadership through Timeless Service: Welcome To Our Fantastic Voyage”.

Supreme Basileus Carolyn House Stewart has inspired us to better extend our service in the global community while reviving our signature programs. I am gratified by your endeavors over this past year in leadership skills development, social justice, health and economic security. The conference planning team has worked diligently to provide you with training and information that will enhance your efforts to be servant leaders, both in your chapters and in your communities of service.

As you know, we will be in Providence, RI! Among the highlights:

•    Bring toiletry items, packaged underwear and gift cards. Items will be given to victims of domestic violence.

•    Bring your “Honey-Do” to a special appreciation reception where we will acknowledge "Honey-Do of the Year"

•    Once again, the Regional Director’s Dinner will be open to all attendees who wish to attend.

•    Sorors who do not attend the formal banquet can enjoy the superb cuisine that is only Rhode Island during the “dine-around.”

•    Help us to set another record in the Guinness World Book of Records. This time it will be for the most people performing the Cupid Shuffle!

This conference will also emphasize working with our youth. The members of our EYL programs are invited to attend our Public Meeting, where they will be recognized. Additionally, on Saturday, April 21st, we will conduct a Youth Summit for children ages 7-17. We want Rhode Island to see that we’re not just here to have a conference, but to honor our vow to serve.
